The ISAC Biosafety Committee was established in 1997 with the goal of providing guidance to its membership and the scientific community on safety issues related to Cytometry, in particular cell sorting. The committee has been active in the creation of biosafety guidelines (1997) and standards (2007) for cell sorting.
