Resources Job Board Research Assistant in Flow Cytometry

Research Assistant in Flow Cytometry

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Flow Cytometry Facility based in the Translational Gastroenterology Unit (TGU), John Radcliffe Hospital.

As part of the development of a Human Immune Discovery Initiative (HIDI), a University-wide initiative that aims to improve accessibility to immunological assays and expertise, you will be an integral member of the Deep Immune Phenotyping Platform.

The successful candidate will support the Facility Manager in the running of the lab and will also be responsible for preparing and acquiring samples as part of the HIDI project. We are looking for a bright, conscientious individual who would relish the opportunity to learn flow cytometry; for the appointed individual, a solid background in this widely used technology would serve as a fantastic springboard to a variety of future opportunities.

Ideally the appointed person would have a biological/immunology background. Full training would be given in-house, but a working knowledge of the technology would also be advantageous.

This is a full-time post for 2 years in the first instance, however there is the possibility of extension beyond this date dependent on securing external funding to support HIDI.
