Research Associate III, Antigen Map Lab


Position Overview
The Antigen Map is a collaborative project between Adaptive Biotechnologies and Microsoft which will use immune sequencing coupled with machine learning to decode the relationship between a T cell receptor sequence and its antigen specificity.  As a member of the Antigen Map Production Lab, you will be directly responsible for generating the samples required to generate this TCR-Antigen Map.

Responsibilities

  • Execute cell isolation, expansion and stimulation
  • Assist cell sorting operations
  • Coordinate with supervisor to prioritize and schedule daily activities
  • Serve as technical lead when working with junior team members
  • Support accessioning of biological samples as needed
  • Formulate reagents as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a biological science
  • At least four years of experience with immunological techniques, particularly multiparametric flow cytometry and primary cell isolation/culture
  • Experience working to Standard Operating Procedures and documenting batch records
  • Experience utilizing lab automation and LIMS highly beneficial
  • Prior experience at a biotechnology or biopharmaceutical company; previous role in a high-throughput, production or CLIA lab preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet defined deadlines
  • Prior experience training other operators desirable
  • Willingness to work shifted schedule, if necessary, a plus
