Introducing CYTO Women!

Monday, March 9, 2020

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2020, ISAC is proud to officially launch the CYTO Women Program and unveil our new logo. CYTO Women was conceived by an engaged group of women at CYTO 2019 and seeks to address the involvement of women in ISAC, with encouragement and support, so that women from all constituencies play an active role on committees and programs, as well as in leadership positions within ISAC and across the field of cytometry.

Our logo, created by graphic artist Neil Vilppu, reflects that the CYTO Women Program is an integral part of ISAC and is centered on the equality that we foster. We embrace this year’s International Women’s Day theme, #EachforEqual with our own hashtag #CYTOWomen. This first step will be the centerpiece of ISAC’s inclusion and diversity effort by reaching out to women cytometrists to offer support as we challenge stereotypes, celebrate accomplishments, address conscious and unconscious bias, and support STEM programs for young women.

Join us at CYTO 2020 in Philadelphia where we acknowledge that we stand on the shoulders of giants and celebrate the role of women in the advancement of Cytometry!
