II Swiss Cytometry Meeting 05-07 February 2020

This conference is the only in Switzerland with a program that brings together diagnostic laboratories and research groups interested in flow cytometry and its applications. It presented a great opportunity to strengthen and consolidate the ties among the cytometry community across Switzerland. It was a great opportunity to discuss the latest research, ideas, interact, socialize and more generally promote cytometry.

The conference started with a session covering full spectrum flow cytometry and it began with great discussions on the technology and instruments. On the second day, the parallel sessions were very well organized, including during the common coffee breaks where it was possible to discuss with colleagues that had attended the other session. The morning was divided between the clinical and the mass cytometry while in the afternoon on one side we had the ISAC lecture with Dr. Liechti in the multicolour session and imaging flow cytometry on the parallel session.

The last day was met with great enthusiasm and expectation due to the topic so important nowadays, data analysis and unsupervised analysis. Great discussion and ideas were exchanged.

Overall both attendees and commercial companies were pleased with these two days conference where people with different backgrounds could discuss flow cytometry.
