Statement The current pandemic has highlighted the importance of STEM education not just to scientists but also to the general public. As an elected Councilor, I will promote and further the society’s education goals and build on the programs we currently have (CYTO Youth, CYTO U, etc) to widen their reach and adapt to the changing education landscape. I will also represent, promote and protect the interests of SRL personnel by advocating for programs that will provide opportunities and advancement to all. Furthermore, as an LGBTQI+ person of color from the Philippines, I will support programs that will promote diversity and inclusion in the society.
