Become a Future Leader of ISAC!
ISAC’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) was created to foster the development of future ISAC leaders from all constituencies of the Society. Additionally, it supports the career development of these leaders so that they become significant contributors to the field in all areas of cytometry, including research, SRL operations, and technology development.
Our leaders receive Platinum membership for four years, a generous travel stipend to attend CYTO, complimentary registration for all ISAC virtual meetings, numerous mentorship and networking opportunities, and many other benefits.
ISAC offers three unique tracks to help you position yourself to take a leading role in the fastest-growing global cytometry society in the world. The Shared Resource Lab (SRL) Emerging Leaders, the MaryLou Ingram Scholars, the International Innovators.
Applications will open in August 2026.
Available Tracks:
SRL Emerging Leaders (SRL EL)
The ISAC SRL Emerging Leader (SRL EL) Program is designed to enhance and develop the next generation of emerging leaders in SRL (Shared Resource Lab) education, applications and operations. It is expected SRL ELs will serve in leadership roles for ISAC, as well as help to further the field of cytometry. ISAC is seeking SRL ELs who are able to demonstrate abilities in education and training, a commitment to the implementation and development of best practices, a vision for the future direction of SRL membership within the Society and the cytometry community and the drive to make this vision a reality.
Marylou Ingram Scholars Program (IMISP)
The ISAC Marylou Ingram Scholars Program (IMISP) is designed to enhance the scientific and leadership experiences of young scientists operating in the broad field of cytometry, to increase the quality of science and to develop the next generation of future ISAC leaders.
International Innovators
The ISAC International Innovators Program is designed to support and promote early-career scientists and engineers working to bring new cytometry technologies to the scientific community. International Innovators will have the opportunity to collaborate with ISAC members to identify unmet needs, share new cytometry technologies and tools through participation in the CYTO Innovation Committee, and expand their knowledge of paths to market for these technologies. Both commercial (industry or startup) and non-commercial (open-source, academic, and governmental) technologists are encouraged to apply.
