SRL-Emerging-Leaders

The ISAC SRL Emerging Leader (SRL EL) Program is a four-year program designed to enhance and develop the next generation of emerging leaders in SRL (Shared Resource Lab) education, applications and operations. It is expected SRL ELs will serve in leadership roles for ISAC, as well as help to further the field of cytometry. ISAC is seeking SRL ELs who are able to demonstrate abilities in education and training, a commitment to the implementation and development of best practices, a vision for the future direction of SRL membership within the Society and the cytometry community and the drive to make this vision a reality.

Designation as an SRL EL is highly competitive and awardees are chosen by the SRL EL task force. ISAC SRL ELs are awarded a complimentary Society membership, an electronic subscription to Cytometry Part A, as well as complimentary registration (and partial travel funds once we can travel again) for ISAC’s annual CYTO conference and CYTO Virtual meetings. Through the ISAC Leadership Development Program, SRL ELs are eligible to apply for competitive funds to support creative projects. The SRL ELs  will work closely with the other lSAC leadership programs; the Marylou Ingram Scholars and the ISAC Innovators. All three programs are focused on improving leadership skills and opening doors for cooperation, networking and mentoring as well as development into the future ISAC leaders.

ISAC SRL ELs are expected to become active members of the Society through committee memberships, advisory boards, and creating educational material to further support the goals of ISAC. Being chosen as an ISAC SRL EL is an indication that you are recognized for your leadership potential, technical expertise, an ability to achieve your career goals and a commitment to give back to ISAC.
