Why Cytometry Matters

Cytometry is a powerful, versatile technology that allows scientists to analyze individual cells—revealing vital insights about how organisms function, how diseases progress, and how environments change.

From diagnosing cancer to monitoring climate impact, cytometry is central to solving many of the world’s greatest challenges. But in many parts of the world, access to this critical tool—and the training to use it—is still out of reach.

Expanding access is not just a technical need—it is a matter of global scientific equity.

Cytometry Drives Discovery Across Disciplines

🩺 In Health & Medicine: Cytometry is essential for studying the immune system, tracking disease, and developing life-saving vaccines. It plays a key role in cancer research, infectious disease control (like HIV, TB, and COVID-19), and personalized medicine.

🌾 In Agriculture: Researchers use cytometry to study plant biology, improve crop resilience, and detect plant pathogens—supporting sustainable agriculture and food security, especially in climate-vulnerable regions.

🌊 In Aquatic & Environmental Science: Cytometry helps monitor microbial life, water quality, and ecological balance in marine and freshwater systems —guiding conservation and pollution control efforts.

🌡 In Climate Research: By examining how cells respond to environmental stressors, cytometry contributes to understanding climate change impacts on living organisms and ecosystems —informing adaptation strategies and biodiversity protection.

Our Solution

ISAC advances global cytometry capacity through sustainable, collaborative solutions:

  • Donated refurbished cytometry equipment to under-resourced laboratories
  • Hands-on technical training and mentorship for scientists and healthcare professionals
  • Sustainable partnerships with local institutions to ensure long-term impact

We work across six continents, with a global network of volunteers, educators, and technical experts, to ensure this life-changing technology reaches the people who need it most.

Make a Gift. Make an Impact.

Your donation fuels a movement—one that supports discovery, public health, and sustainability in resource-limited regions across the globe.

Every contribution helps:

  • Equip labs with critical cytometry technology
  • Train and mentor scientists, students, and clinicians
  • Foster long-term, self-sustaining scientific progress

No gift is too small. Together, we can expand access, empower discovery, and advance global scientific equity.

Instrument Placements & Laboratory Support (2026)

ISAC plans to deploy refurbished cytometry instruments to partner institutions where access to this technology can significantly advance research, and education.

Planned instrument placements include:

Instrument Donation/Support  Institution Location
Accuri C6 – Donated by Certified GeneTool (Shipment)  Center for Plant Research Bhutan
FACS Calibur (Shipment Ministry of Research and Scientific Innovation of Cameroon Cameroon
Donated by Beckman Coulter (Shipment)  Department of Regulation of Cell Proliferation and Apoptosis, Institute of Cell Biology, NAS of Ukraine Lviv, Ukraine

Why This Matters

By linking equipment access with education and mentorship, ISAC helps institutions move beyond short-term support toward self-sustaining scientific capacity. Donor support makes it possible to plan, deploy, and maintain these initiatives year after year.

ISAC (EIN: 85-0319221) will absorb all administrative costs, ensuring that 100% of your donation goes directly to the area of support you designate. As a registered 501(c)(3) organization, contributions may be tax-deductible for U.S. taxpayers.
