Marylou Ingram Scholars

The ISAC Marylou Ingram Scholars Program (IMISP) is designed to enhance the scientific and leadership experiences of young scientists operating in the broad field of cytometry, to increase the quality of science and to develop the next generation of future ISAC leaders.

The IMISP was first developed in 2006 as the ISAC Scholars Program to support the career development of young scientists with significant research achievements, contributions to the flow cytometry field, and demonstrated leadership potential.

The IMISP is foremost a community of approximately 25 cytometrists at similar stages in their careers. It provides leadership training, mentorship with another ISAC member, presentation opportunities, complimentary membership in the Society, a subscription to Cytometry Part A, complimentary registration and partial travel funds to attend the annual CYTO conferences, eligibility for collaboration/training funding, and other valuable professional development activities.

Currently, many current and former Scholars are successful researchers and active members of ISAC’s committees, task forces, and Council, as well as active participants in CYTO.

Individuals who have received their relevant doctoral degree within eight years of the date of the application are eligible to apply. These requirements may be waived in exceptional circumstances to be evaluated on an individual basis.
